MUMBAI: A matrimonial dispute complaint led Chandigarh police to grill a Singapore-based banker, Shyam Sunder Arora on July 5.
Arora is accused of dowry harassment, stealing his alleged estranged wife’s jewellery and remarrying without divorcing her, Mid-Day reported.
Police said Arora was detained at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, in January following a communication by Chandigarh police against allowing the 40-year-old to travel abroad.
An FIR under sections 498A and 406 of IPC was registered against the accused and his father Inder Kumar Arora in April 2009.
