Following the imprisonment of Pakistan’s tainted cricketers namely Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt in UK for their alleged involvement in spot fixing scandal, the Federal Revenue Board of Pakistan have decided to once again investigate the trio’s assets.

Along with the tainted trio, the Revenue Board will also investigate assets of Imran Nazir, former Test opener as well as captain Misbah-ul-Haq.
A source stated that Butt’s assets are once again being investigated following the report of his moving a sum of USD 181,000 last year into his mother’s account from a Lahore bank account during the initial breaking out of the spot-fixing scandal.
The source added that assets of both Amir and Asif including movable properties, immovable properties as well as cash are also being scrutinised to find their revenue sources.
Another reliable source revealed that the Board believes that Misbah and Nazir are both defaulters of income tax worth Rs 3.7 million and 1.1 million respectively.
