DESPARDES — President Donald Trump wants the country to get back to work, saying “it’s like the cure (lockdown) is worse than the problem”.
More than 104,000 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have been reported with 1704 deaths, making US now the epicenter of the global pandemic.
In the interview taken a few days back, President Trump said he wants things to be back on tract in 19 days — that’s on or about April 12, Easter Sunday.
Boris Johnson tests positive
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Friday he’s tested positive for the coronavirus disease, but has so far experienced only mild symptoms.
Johnson is the first head of government to announce testing positive for COVID-19.
“Over the last 24 hours, I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus,” he tweeted Friday. “I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.”
In a video message, Johnson thanked Britain’s National Health Service, healthcare workers and all Britons working to stop the spread of the virus, which has killed hundreds of people in Britain.
