DESPARDES — Bangladesh national cricketers will undertake a three-day practice camp from Sunday (January 19) ahead of their tour to Pakistan.
The three-match T20I series between Bangladesh and host Pakistan will roll onto the ground from January 24.
The Tigers will arrive in Pakistan on January 23. Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has announced he will not be joining his team on its tour to Pakistan due to his family’s concerns over security, ESPN Cricinfo reported on Saturday.
He has played for the Karachi Kings in the past seasons of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) series.
Bangladesh Tigers will play three T20s in Lahore on Jan 24, 25 and 27, after which they will return to Pakistan for the first ICC World Test Championship fixture, starting from February 7 in Rawalpindi.
To facilitate the cricket fans to pack the Gaddafi Stadium and enjoy the three T20Is between the Asian neighbors, the PCB has reduced the ticket prices.
The tickets will be online from January 18 at 10:00 am while physical tickets can be purchased from the TCS Express Centers from January 21 from 09:00 am onward.
Mahmudullah will captain the Bangladesh (BD) side on the first leg of the tour.
Pacer Hasan Mahmud has earned his first call-up to the BD national team as part of the 15-man squad for the T20 series.
Babar Azam has been chosen to lead the Pakistan squad. Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been left out of the squad.
Ahsan Ali, Amad Butt and Haris Rauf are expected to debut in the series.
